Eriksson brings Ivorian defender Bamba to Leicester

Leicester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has secured the services of Ivory Coast defender Souleyman Bamba from Scottish club Hibernian.

The 25-year old centre-half joins the Foxe for an undisclosed fee but according to Hibs boss Colin Calderwood, it was a substantial amount which will help his club in the transfer window.

Eriksson managed Bamba when he was in charge of the Ivory Coast national team so knows the player well and pending an international transfer certificate, the ex-Paris Saint-Germain and Dunfermline man could be in action for Leicester as early as Monday night.
