Sven Goran Eriksson admits Manchester City lean heavily on the influence of Elano.

The Brazilian is back for tonight's Carling Cup semi against Tottenham and Eriksson said: "It's no secret he has been very important to us this season and he has been behind a lot of goals we have scored.

"If you ask any of the players they would say that yes, we are a better team with him.

"But if we play as we did in the second half against Bolton we have a good chance of making it to the semi-final."
