Brentford midfielder Christian Eriksen is yet to field a firm contract offer from Tottenham.
The playmaker is available to sign on a free transfer following the expiry of his Brentford contract on June 30. He has fielded interest from Spurs and Manchester United, though is said to favour staying in London.
Football.London says Tottenham were in contact with Eriksen's camp about a potential return just a couple of weeks ago.
However, Antonio Conte's side appear to be distancing themselves from the Dane as they have failed to follow up on their interest.
An offer is on the table from Brentford, which would make Eriksen the club's highest paid player.
