Eriksen ability impresses Tottenham boss in wake of Swansea stalemate

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino was in awe of Christian Eriksen following his side's 2-2 draw with Swansea City on Sunday.

The Danish midfielder scored a pair of sublime free-kicks as Spurs twice came from behind to grab a point on the road, prompting praise from Pochettino who rated his players as one of the top exponents of a set-piece situation in England.

"He is a very important player for us and if you give him chances to shoot he can have an impact on the game," Pochettino said.

"He is one of the best at dead-ball situations, it is hard to say he is the best but he is one of the best.

"He has natural ability but he also spends time working on it.

"They were great free-kicks, he has quality when he shoots and delivers a free-kick."

Eriksen's first came in the 27th minute, responding to Andre Ayew's header 10 minutes earlier, while the better of the two free-kicks occurred with 25 minutes remaining following Harry Kane's calamitous own-goal just after the half-hour.
