The Football Association reportedly held 'exploratory' talks with new Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers regarding him taking on the England job following Euro2016, according to The Sun.
The report claims that the FA is not entirely convinced of handing a contract extension to current manager Roy Hodgson, whose contract expires after the Euros.
Rodgers, who was appointed by Celtic in May, was approached by the FA's head of elite development Dan Ashworth.
However, Rodgers seemed to have turned down the initial advances as he intends to complete some unfinished business at club level following his failed stint with Liverpool.
