Clubs from England are still believed to be showing interest in FC Twente midfielder Leroy Fer.
The 23-year old was set to join Everton in January but the Toffees discovered he had sustained a knee injury in September and wanted to get a discount on the reported £8.8million fee.
Twente were not prepared to renegotiate meaning a move did not occur but he has remained on the radar of some Premier League outfits ahead of a potential summer shift after he was watched in the weekend's loss to Vitesse Arnhem.
"There were a number of English clubs at the game," a club spokesman told Sky Sports.
