Everton defender Phil Jagielka has insisted that the England national team's progress can't be judged based on their performances in a relatively easy Euro2016 qualifying group.
England have made a perfect start to the qualifying campaign with 4 wins out of 4 games, but Jagielka insists they do not really know if they have improved since last year's World Cup because of the apparent lack of quality of their opponents.
Jagielka said: "I think time will tell. I think results-wise it looks like it. We have put in some good performances. But without being disrespectful or naive, the group isn't the toughest group in qualifying.
"But time will tell in the tournament. There is a bit of pressure on and that is when the judgement will be a bit clearer."
