England legend Peter Shilton is not happy at Wayne Rooney getting another England call up.

Rooney will participate in England's game against the United States on November 15.

It is seen as a farewell appearance for the man who will get his 120th cap. All proceeds from the game will be donated to charity.

But Shilton, who holds the record for the most England caps with 125, is not impressed with Rooney getting what is essentially a ceremonial cap.

He wrote on Twitter: "I don't agree with giving Wayne Rooney a cap against USA, caps should be given on merit!

"Honour him by a presentation on the pitch and let the youngsters do the job!"
