Emre Can has heaped praise on his Liverpool teammate Mohamad Salah.
The wily attacker scored a brace at the beginning of the week to secure Egypt's first appearance at the World Cup since 1990.
Can told the club's website: "It's crazy. I saw a few videos from the game and how the fans reacted. It was a penalty in the 95th minute. I'm very happy for Mo – he is the King of Egypt!"
Salah is leading the Reds with six goals so far this season, and Can is pleased with the way he has performed since arriving from Roma in the summer.
"He has done amazing so far. He has scored a lot of goals, he has played brilliantly," Can added.
"Off the pitch, he is a very good guy. He is an amazing signing for us and I hope he will score a lot of goals in the next few weeks as well."
