Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi is delighted to see the club win promotion back to Serie A.
A 2-0 home victory over Pescara meant there was nothing closest rivals Latina could do to stop the Tuscans finishing as Serie B runners-up to Palermo.
"For us it is an extraordinary result," Corsi told Sky Sport. "It's the fourth time this has happened for me, it's not a coincidence!
"The way our players play begins when they play in our youth academy. Our results are the fruit of some great work and fantastic planning.
"I am pleased for our directors, we managed to help our boys to grow and to give our town and fans some happiness. Now we want to do well in Serie A."
