Elneny insists his ‘best is yet come’ for Arsenal

Mohamed Elneny is supremely confident he will only get better at Arsenal.

The Egyptian midfielder has adjusted well to the Premier League since arriving from FC Basel in the winter and following another impressive display in the centre midfield on Sunday, is assured that his best is still ahead of him.

"I've improved my mentality and did what I could, hopefully the best is yet to come," the 23-year-old told arsenal.com in the wake of the 2-2 draw at Manchester City after the Gunners twice came from behind.

Regarding the fighting performance to land a point at the Etihad Stadium, Elneny added: "We came here for a win, but unfortunately we didn't but hopefully we'll win the next game.

"We did what we could and thank God we got a point. We played against a big team and hopefully the next match we will get a win."

Arsenal take on bottom-placed Aston Villa in the final game of the season next weekend and only need to avoid defeat to hold on to third position and subsequently a Champions League spot.

However, a victory to the Gunners and a loss to Tottenham Hotspur at relegation-threatened Newcastle United will see Arsene Wenger's side again finish above their North London rivals.
