Eldor Shomurodov: Mourinho presence key to Roma decision

Eldor Shomurodov is happy with first weeks at AS Roma.

The former Genoa striker joined Roma this summer and is already off the mark with his new team.

At his presentation today, Shomurodov said: "I have to say that on the role whether you play wide or in the centre there is no difference for me. I feel good in both.

"(Tammy) Abraham? The important thing is that everything is decided for the good of Roma. If I play with him I will do it, if I am asked to wait I will do it."

On the demands of coach Jose Mourinho, he continued: "Before arriving in a top club like Roma I was focused on improving myself without putting myself in too much of a hurry. Now I have to think about the good of my team. What we have to achieve is the victory and not just a few games but also some trophies. The reference point is: to give a hand to the team. I want to bring trophies to the city

"We met two years ago in Moscow. When the news of Roma's interest arrived, I couldn't beat around the bush. Roma are a top club and then Mourinho was one of the reasons why I decided to come, he is one of the best in the world and I want to grow with him."
