Marco Rojas is eagerly anticipating Wednesday night's World Cup playoff against Mexico at the famed Azteca Stadium.
The Stuttgart winger and his New Zealand teammates are up against the El Tri at their 105,000-capacity venue in Mexico City on Thursday morning AEDT and despite the enormity of the task in front of them, Rojas says there is a fair amount of excitement within the All Whites camp.
"It will be special," Rojas said. "Everyone who knows football knows the Azteca.
"But there is still belief, everyone writes us off and we are always playing against teams that are expected to win.
"Look at what (NZ) did at the (2010) World Cup (when unbeaten) - we are going in with that mentality."
