At least eight senior players will be shown the door at Real Madrid in the summer. Sport says Julien Faubert, Royston Drenthe, Fabio Cannavaro, Jerzy Dudek, Gabby Heinze, Michel Salgado, Rafael van der Vaart and Javier Saviola will all be offloaded by Real at the end of the season.

Real coach Juande Ramos will also not be kept on - unless he wins the Spanish Liga title. There is a clause in his contract that it will be automatically renewed should he deliver a trophy at the end of the season.

However, the collapse of Real at Liverpool this week is a huge blow against Ramos staying on.
