Eduardo Vargas admits he hasn't heard from Napoli since his move from Universidad de Chile was confirmed before Christmas.

Vargas will travel to Italy on Thursday as he launches his Serie A career in Naples.

"I have not yet heard from anyone, I had just a message in Italian. It seems to be from a journalist who wants to interview me," Vargas confessed to tuttonapoli.net.

"I know the fans are very passionate and warm. I will give my best for them and for the love of the people. It's normal Diego Maradona is much loved, he has done well everywhere."

Vargas added: "I'm nervous, a little nervous. We will be traveling Thursday. I am excited to experience something new, I know it will be a beautiful experience."
