Erik Edman was delighted to play a role in Wigan's victory over Bolton Wanderers.

"It was fantastically good that we managed to keep a clean sheet," Edman told Sportbladet. "There are still eight matches remaining, but the victory is really important.

"First, I had to recover from the injury and then the most important thing is to save Wigan, but it will be fun to play against Brazil.

"It's due to my defensive qualities that they brought me here."
