Eboue ready to commit to new Arsenal contract

Emmanuel Eboue is ready to commit to a new contract at Arsenal.

The Ivory Coast international midfielder has been the target of severe criticism from Arsenal supporters this season, most notably when he was hauled off against Wigan after coming on as a substitute.

But Eboue wants to stay at The Emirates and prove his doubters wrong.

"I am under contract with Arsenal for another year and leaving the club is not my intention," he told setanta.com.

"If Arsenal offer me a new contract I will sign it because I like this club and will always do my best to deliver on the pitch. Sometimes you are not playing at your best, that's part of the game. The fans booed me, indeed, but I try to move on and remain focused on my football.

"What I try to do is help my team the best I can and then enjoy myself and make the fans enjoy themselves."
