Dynamo Kiev have turned down a bid from Sunderland for Jeremain Lens.

Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat is eager to bring the Holland international to Wearside this summer.

Dynamo president Igor Surkis revealed yesterday they had turned down a bid from Sunderland for Lens.

Lens is missing from the club's summer training camp, but Surkis insists he's been granted permission to skip the get-together for "family reasons".

The winger is tied to Dynamo until 2017.
