Kieron Dyer was delighted with his latest comeback game from injury in West Ham's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.
The midfielder told whufc.com: "I wasn't expecting an hour. The plan was to just give me half-an-hour or 40 minutes here and there but obviously when the manager called me to go on with 15 minutes of the first half still to go I was quite surprised!
"I'm happy to be playing in any kind of game after being out for two years, but it was an exciting game to play in. It could have been a cagey game where both teams put men behind the ball but it wasn't. Both teams went for it and it was an enjoyable game to be part of."
