Dutch pundit Valentijn Driessen has dismissed claims from Everton boss Frank Lampard of Donny van de Beek being best afield in victory over Leeds.
The on-loan Manchester United midfielder won great praise from Lampard for his performance on Saturday.
But for De Telegraaf, Driessen declared: "Enthusiastic? Well, he was ordinary.
“I saw that the whole game, but he played a very normal game. Really nothing special. Lampard was lyrical, but that really doesn't matter at all. He's a purchase for Lampard, who just puts a few feathers up Donny's a** because Lampard is responsible.
"Donny van de Beek played nice, but really nothing special. It is good that he played and immediately played ninety minutes. You can just demand this from Donny."
