Former Barcelona and PSV Eindhoven star Phillip Cocu is emerging as a surprise option for the Hibernian job.

Shaun Maloney lost his job at Hibs last week, and the search is now on for his replacement.

According to Scottish Express Sport, Cocu has mentioned to Hibs that he is ready to take on the job.

Cocu has coached the likes of Derby County, PSV, and Fenerbahce.

Another who has been linked to the vacancy is Manchester United legend Roy Keane.

The former Sunderland and Ipswich boss has experience in Scotland from his time with Celtic.
