Dutch agent Rob Jansen has lifted his sights regarding plans of buying an English club.
Jansen and his star-studded consortium had been eyeing off Wycombe Wanderers last year.
But the Mirror says Arsenal great Dennis Bergkamp is at the head of a consortium of footballing greats which now aims to buy a Premier League club.
Along with the likes of Dirk Kuyt, Phillip Cocu, Ronald Koeman, and Henrik Larsson, they hope a club will become available in the next few months due to the financial strain of the coronavirus pandemic.
Jansen, an executive at the £3.2billion Wasserman Media Group, is in charge of the business side of their ambitions, and says they are "in the waiting room".
"n this current crisis, the asking price of some clubs will be lowered," he said. "At the same time the internal struggles at these clubs will get bigger."
