Ten-man Dundee United held out for a hard fought scoreless draw against Rangers at Ibrox Park.
The Gers charge towards retaining the SPL title was momentarily halted by a determined United side who were reduced to ten men in the 70th minute when Michael Kovacevic saw red for kicking Kyle Lafferty.
United defended doggedly although they enjoyed a moment of good fortune just before full time when Kenny Miller hit a post.
Rangers now need only five points from their remaining five matches to retain the title, while United now sit in third place, seven points behind Celtic.
