Dundee United have confirmed the sale of Scott Allan to West Bromwich Albion.

The 20-year-old has moved to The Hawthorns for an undisclosed fee.

United manager Peter Houston told the club website, dundeeunitedfc.co.uk: "I'd like to wish Scott all the best for his future career, it is a fantastic opportunity for him to go down to the English Premier League.

"The completion of the deal at this time was beneficial for both the player and the club."
