Former Barcelona striker Christophe Dugarry has hit back at Marseille fullback Patrice Evra as their feud escalates.
Evra has accused Dugarry of career success only due to his friendship with Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane.
But in response, Dugarry blasted the Manchester United legend, telling RMC: "Failing to make us dream on the ground, he tries to make us laugh outside. He makes me laugh more on the ground than outside.
"He gave us a mediocre performance against Caen. I found him more than passable against Caen. Since he's been with Marseille, he has not shown us much. It's easier to insult pundits. This player is pathetic. What bothers me is for OM and the leaders and supporters. Is this the OM Champions Project?
"I knew real leaders and I can guarantee you that they did not insult anyone and when you have to get off the bus, they get off the bus. For this moment when he humiliated the French people, he should drop the tone. Is Zidane aware of that? Zidane is delighted..."
