Drogba reveals one major difference in Liverpool gun Salah since leaving Chelsea

Many Chelsea fans are a bit surprised at the goal scoring form of Liverpool's new signing Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian winger spent time at Chelsea, before going to Italy in a series of loan moves. He eventually secured a permanent move to Roma, where he let his football do the talking.

Salah showed promise at Chelsea, but he never played in the way he did at Roma and is doing at Liverpool.

And Blues legend Didier Drogba thinks that he knows why there is such a big change in Salah's displays.

"He's becoming a boss and a leader - we've seen it in the national team and seen it at Liverpool," Drogba said in an interview with BBC.

"I can tell by his celebrations that he knows what he's doing now, he's not going crazy but just sticking his tongue out to say, 'yeah it's me'."

"He can bring a lot of his leadership and his experience, that he is learning at Liverpool and with the national team [to the team in Russia]."

"You know for him playing in a lot of big competitions will help him to be among the best players in Europe and during the World Cup."

Drogba knows that going far in the World Cup will be tough for Salah, given his Egyptian teammates may not have the same quality as him. But a great World Cup performance from Salah could elevate the player to another level.

"Mo Salah on his own cannot win the World Cup but if all his team-mates are at the level the continent expects them to be, then Mo Salah can be a fantastic player and be one of the stars in this competition," said the former Chelsea striker."
