Drogba backing Chelsea pal Anelka to rattle old club Arsenal

Didier Drogba says Chelsea pal Nicolas Anelka will be motivated today for a big performance at Arsenal.

Anelka goes back to former club Arsenal for today's crunch match after notching another Champions League winner against Porto four days ago.

"He will be more motivated because he is playing against his old club," said Drogba. "There is always an extra motivation when you do that.

"Last year he scored a fantastic goal when we beat Arsenal 4-1 at the Emirates.

"I hope he will do it again because we need the three points," added Drogba, who has recovered from badly damaged ribs, and is feeling like a player reborn this season.

He said: "The ribs are very good now. It was good for me to play against Porto, to get back into competition and to get some minutes on the pitch.

"I feel the happiest since we last won the title three years ago."
