New York Red Bulls head coach Mike Petke was in a bullish mood after his side extended their unbeaten streak to four matches on the weekend.
The Red Bulls clinched a fourth-straight draw when coming from behind before conceding to Montreal Impact on Saturday to finish with a 2-2 result at the Olympic Stadium.
The match marked the third time in a row that New York had gone a goal down before rallying which pleased Petke who sees his side sitting eighth on the Eastern Conference table.
"At the end of the day, to come into Montreal and get a result, you take it," Petke told reporters after the game.
"We're still unbeaten in four games, we seem to like ties, but it's early and still the beginning of the season."
Andres Romero opened the scoring in just the fifth minute when he slotted home after receiving a neat through ball from Felipe Martins before Jonny Steele finished with aplomb at the far post when he volleyed home Lloyd Sam's rightwing cross.
New York hit the front three minutes after Steele's leveller when the Irishman played in Peguy Luyindula to slot home for his second in two matches prior to the Frenchman striking the post from the penalty spot early in the second half.
However, the Impact struck back just before the hour-mark when Felipe powerfully headed home Justin Mapp's inswinging cross from the right flank to force a tied result.
