Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing wants to celebrate signing his new contract by winning the FA Cup this season.

"It's a massive chance for us this season, and one I'm relishing," he said ahead of tonight's replay against Sheffield United, which offers the prize of another home tie - with Championship side Cardiff - upon which a Wembley semi-final will hinge.

"You daren't ever look too far ahead because it's vital to concentrate fully on the next game, but the draw has opened up for us, and it's a chance we have to take.

"As a team we are growing in stature and getting better.

"Players want to be with a club that they feel is going forward, and we are.

"That's why I decided to stay. We are looking to build for the future, but there is also the chance to get some glory this season.

"That makes this a great time to be at the club."
