DONE DEAL? West Brom closing Ahmed Hegazy signing

West Brom have struck terms with Al Ahly for Ahmed Hegazy.

According to Egyptian reports, the Baggies are set to pay a loan fee of €1 million (£875,000) and have an option to buy the 26-year-old for €4m (£3.5m) before June 30, 2018, says the Express & Star.

Albion decided to make a move for 6ft 5in Hegazy after baulking at the £8m loan fee Chelsea demanded for Kurt Zouma.

It's believed the former Fiorentina defender is having a medical today before the squad fly out to Hong Kong tonight, but it's not yet clear whether he'll be joining the club for the Premier League Asia Trophy.
