Watford have signed Championship Newcastle full back Daryl Janmaat on a four-year deal.

The 27-year-old joined Newcastle from Feyenoord in July 2014 after an impressive World Cup campaign with the Netherlands and has become Walter Mazzarri's eighth signing of the summer.

A statement on Newcastle's official website read: "The club wishes to place on record its thanks to Daryl for his efforts during his time at Newcastle.

"He leaves with our best wishes for his future at Watford."
