Watford completed the transfer of Jose Holebas from AS Roma on Thursday evening.
The 31-year old Greece international has signed a three-year deal with the Hornets for an undisclosed fee after helping Roma to a second-place finish in Serie A last season.
Primarily a left-back, Holebas joined Roma from Greek giants Olympiakos last summer where he had spent about four years.
During his one season in Italy's top flight, the former 1860 Munich man made 34 appearances in all competitions, keeping former Chelsea star Ashley Cole out of the Giallorossi team for much of the campaign.
