Udinese have quickly snapped up released Watford defender Sebastian Prodl.

The 32-year-old centre-back comes on a free transfer and is ready for his first stint in Italian football, after terminating his previous contract with the Hornets.

The Friuli released a statement confirming the player has arrived on contract until June 2021.

“Udinese Calcio announce that we have secured Sebastian Prodl's sporting performances," the club wrote. “The Austrian defender has signed a contract that will bind him to the club until June 30, 2021."
