DONE DEAL: Stevenage sign Chelsea keeper Jamie Cumming

Chelsea goalkeeper Jamie Cumming is on his way to Stevenage Borough.

Cumming will join League Two side Stevenage on loan for the duration of the 2020/21 season.

The goalkeeper, 20, will be getting his first taste of senior football after acting as understudy to Kepa Arrizabalaga and Willy Caballero last term.

Cumming has been a Chelsea player since the age of eight.

He kept goal in successive FA Youth Cup triumphs in 2017 and 2018, playing in all but one of the eight ties in the latter campaign, and caught the eye in the 2018 UEFA Youth League semi-finals with a heroic penalty shoot-out performance against Porto.

After signing a new four-year contract last summer, the England Under-17 international was confirmed as Frank Lampard's third-choice goalkeeper and has trained all season with the senior side, featuring on the bench on numerous occasions.
