DONE DEAL: Spurs welcome young Man City duo; Ipswich defender

Tottenham have welcomed three new additions to their youth team for the new season.

Former Manchester City midfielder Herbie James and defender Roman Egan-Riley have signed, as has defsnsive talent Calum Logan from Ipswich Town.

As many as 11 players have been promoted to the U18 team: Samual Archer and Charlie Warren are the goalkeepers in this year's intake, joined by defenders Timileyin Adekunle, Theodore Adelusi, Egan-Riley, Logan and Dante Orr.

Herbie James, Callum Olusesi and Mikey Moore are the midfielders in the group, along with centre-forward Ellis Lehane.

Spurs U18 coach Stuart Lewis told the club's website: “We are delighted to welcome all 11 of our new first-year scholars to the Club. Some of the players have been here for a number of years while there are others who are relatively new to us but, regardless of that, they are all fully aware of the expectations we have of them and what is required to represent Tottenham Hotspur.

"Myself and the rest of the Under-18 staff are really excited to work with this group and are looking forward to developing them further as young football players and as people."
