Real Valladolid have signed Real Madrid defender Javi Sanchez.

Sanchez has signed a deal to 2024 with Valladolid, with Real Madrid announcing the move this morning.

"The club wants to thank Javi Sánchez for all these years of dedication, professionalism and exemplary behavior since who, at the age of 8, came to our juniors in 2005, and wishes him the best of luck in his new phase," read a Real Madrid statement.

Sanchez has spent this season on-loan with Valladolid.

It's been suggested he is signing permanently to replace Mohammed Salisu, who is set to be sold this summer.
