Monza wing-back Carlos Augusto is delighted with his move to Inter Milan.

Augusto has joined on-loan for €4m with a permanent option included for a fee rising to €15m.

"I am very happy to be here. This is a great club, I am so pleased to play at San Siro and anxious to help my new teammates. I can't wait to prove myself on the field," he told Inter TV.

“I am ambitious, I know that I had a great season with Monza and hope to do even better here. I hope to improve the statistics of both the goals and assists.

“I have grown so much since I first came to Italy, thanks also to the people at Monza. I want to continue improving, as I know I can do even better.

“I am Brazilian, but I also like to run and work hard for the team. My first objective is to help my teammates. We know that Ronaldo and Adriano are the most famous Brazilians to play for Inter, but in my role there was Roberto Carlos. I was really inspired by his way of playing.

“He was a phenomenon, it will be difficult to reach his level, but I want to do well."
