DONE DEAL: Mavropanos pens new Arsenal deal ahead of Stuttgart switch

Dino Mavropanos has signed a new contract with Arsenal ahead of moving on-loan to VfB Stuttgart.

Mavropanos has just finished a six-month spell on loan at German second division side Nurnberg and he impressed during his time there.

Stuttgart's push to sign the centre-back was being driven by Arsenal's former head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, who now works for the German side as their sporting director, reports the London Evening Standard.

Mislintat left Arsenal in February of last year after spending just 14 months at the club, but in that time he did oversee a number of signings.

One of those was Mavropanos, who Arsenal signed from Greek side PAS Giannina for a fee in the region of £2.2million in January 2018.

The Greek defender was one of Mislintat's recommended buys for Arsenal and he is now excited to link up with him again at Stuttgart.
