Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign Hajduk Split midfielder Ante Palaversa.

Sky Sports claim City have paid close to £7m for the 18-year-old.

The highly-rated youngster will remain at Hadjuk until the end of the season.

Palaversa has been compared with Real Madrid star Toni Kroos and has already emerged as one of the top midfielders in the Croatian league.

Despite playing as a number eight, City believe Palaversa could eventually develop into a top-level holding midfielder.
