DONE DEAL: Gylfi Sigurdsson pens Lyngby deal

Gylfi Sigurdsson has signed a one-year deal with Lyngby.

The 33 year-old former Everton and Swansea City star has accepted the offer. Sigurdsson is returning to football after an investigation into sexual offenses was dropped in the UK.

"I have had many good talks with people at the club," he said. "It's no secret that I have a really good relationship with Freyr, and I've also talked a lot with Alfred (Finnbogason), who is one of my really good friends. He has told me a lot about the club, the atmosphere in it and the team itself.

"Both Freyr and Alfred have spoken warmly of the club, and so far I can understand whyt they have had so much good to say

"My impression is that Lyngby Boldklub is a very family-friendly club, where there is a good atmosphere in and around the team. I have been very well received by the boys in the squad and they seem fantastic. I sense that it is a very well-balanced squad, and I am very happy to be here."
