DONE DEAL: Girona sign New York City FC defender Callens; secure Bueno to new deal

Girona have signed New York City FC defender Alexander Callens.

The 30 year-old joins Girona on a free transfer. Both Girona and NYCFC are owned by City Football Group.

Meanwhile, Girona have also announced a new deal for Santiago Bueno.

The defender has extended his contract from 2024 to 2026.

Girona host Barcelona on Saturday in the Catalan derby.
