DONE DEAL: Fulham sign BVB winger Schurrle on two-year loan

Fulham have completed an impressive transfer coup, signing German World Cup winner Andre Schurrle on a two year loan deal.

The Cottagers managed to nab Schurrle after he was deemed surplus to requirements by his club Borussia Dortmund.

The veteran attacker has played in the Premier League before with Chelsea during 2013-2015.

Now he will be part of a Fulham team that is back in the Premier League for the first time since the 2013-2014 season.

The club's vice-chairman Tony Khan was delighted with the transfer.

"Andre has been a top target for us, as he has for other clubs throughout Europe, so I'm very happy that our pursuit was successful," Khan told the club's official website.

"He has vast experience, having played in the Premier League, the Bundesliga and with the German national team, including the squad that won the World Cup in 2014.

"We're ecstatic that we have reached an agreement to add Andre, given his impeccable credentials and his tremendous skill, and can't wait to see him in Fulham colours."
