Danish veteran Thomas Sorensen has joined Australian side Melbourne City.
Sorensen had been a free agent following his release by Stoke City at the end of last season and it can now be confirmed that the goalkeeper has joined A-League club City.
Confirming the arrival of former Sunderland and Aston Villa gloveman Sorensen on their official website, Melbourne released the following statement: “Melbourne City FC have announced the signing of Danish goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen ahead of the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season.
“Sorensen, 39, joins Melbourne City FC on a two-year deal, and is the club's ninth signing ahead of the new season, following the additions of Ivan Franjic, Steve Kuzmanovski, Corey Gameiro, Harry Novillo, Aaron Hughes, Michael Zullo, Wade Dekker and Bruno Fornaroli."
