Stoke City have ended their relationship with Marco van Ginkel who has immediately moved on to PSV Eindhoven.
The Dutch midfielder has been with the Potters since the summer but the Staffordshire outfit and Chelsea have opted to terminate his temporary deal.
Chelsea have now sent 23-year-old van Ginkel to his homeland where he will spend the rest of the campaign with PSV who sit on top of the Eredisivie table.
Van Ginkel made 21 appearances in all competitions for Stoke, including eight starts, and will now return to Holland's top flight where he has previous experience with his first club Vitesse Arnhem.
