Chelsea and Leicester City have struck terms for Danny Drinkwater, it has been revealed.
SFR Sport are reporting the Blues will cough up around £28m for the England international.
Antonio Conte has made the 27-year-old a key target.
And ahead of next Thursday's transfer deadline, Chelsea need to act fast to bolster their ranks having sold Nemanja Matic to Manchester United.
Chelsea initially saw an offer of £15m rejected by Leicester earlier this summer and have been rebuffed since.
Drinkwater has played 193 games for Leicester since signing from Manchester United in 2012.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have also reportedly had a £35m offer accepted for Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
