DONE DEAL: Burnley sign Bolton Wanderers midfielder Kian Le Fondre

Burnley have confirmed the signing of 16-year old Kian Le Fondre from Bolton Wanderers.

Le Fondre, who can operate out wide and as a number 10, is a first-year scholar and will be linking up with the U18s.

The youngster joined Bolton aged 11, and was playing for the youth team from 15 and made an appearance on the bench for the first team in October last year against Shrewsbury Town in the EFL Trophy.

Le Fondre is also the second cousin of former Rotherham United, Cardiff City and Rochdale striker, Adam and admits that the forward passes on advice and wished Kian well ahead of his move to Turf Moor.

The Stockport born teenager, who has represented Scotland at youth international level, said: "I'm buzzing to be here, it's a lot different from where i have been in the past and it's a great challenge for me now to kick on.

"He (Adam) gives me a lot of advice, i speak to him quite a bit to be honest.

"I spoke to him after signing here, and he congratulated me on signing and he told me to just enjoy it."
