DONE DEAL: Bournemouth welcome new arrival Leeds midfielder Adams

Premier League side Bournemouth have signed midfielder Tyler Adams this week.

The United States international has completed a move that sees him return to the English top flight.

A relegation release clause in his contract at Leeds United meant that Adams had an escape route out of Elland Road.

However, Bournemouth may have paid more than the reported release clause.

The fee for Adams will be in excess of £20 million, per the BBC and other sources.

“To have him sign for AFC Bournemouth shows the ambition we have as a club," said Cherries chief executive Neill Blake.

"We're thrilled to have brought Tyler to the club and he is a player we've admired for a long time.

"It's been widely documented how much his talents have been recognised in this transfer window by other clubs."

"Not an easy goodbye," Adams wrote on Twitter, addressing Leeds fans.

"The club, my team-mates and the fans have supported me since day one, and I wish I could've given more in the home stretch. Forever grateful for this past year."
