DONE DEAL? Athletic Bilbao keeper Kepa pens 'Zidane optioned' Real Madrid contract

Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has signed with Real Madrid.

That's according to AS, the deal interestingly includes two start dates: January and June of 2018.

These are both there to allow manager Zinedine Zidane to choose his preferred date of arrival. Logically, the player's signing bonus varies according to the date. Kepa's current contract with Bilbao expires on June 30 and the goalkeeper would get a greater signing on fee if he waits for a summer move.

Madrid, in principle, wanted to bring in the player in the first week of January, but Kepa's injury changed the target dates. But he could yet make a move in the next four weeks.
