Willie Donachie is set to take charge of Newcastle United reserves.

The People says Peter Beardsley has been given the new role of football development manager at St James' Park.

In line with the other senior coaches at the club, Beardsley has been given a five-year contract.

Donachie will move from his role as development coach to replace Beardsley as the reserve team coach.
