France coach Raymond Domenech is happy to see Patrick Vieira at Manchester City.
Domenech is delighted Vieira has left Inter Milan and claims his former captain is very much in his thoughts for the World Cup.
"His departure is good news," Domenech told L'Equipe. "Both of us have been talking about it for several months.
"He needed to play again, it didn't really matter where. But now, it's a bonus that he finds himself again at a very good club.
"It's good for him, it's good for Les Bleus. In so far as he plays and he is at his right level, there is no reason that he won't go.
"It's just that he's like everyone: he has to play. I don't expect him to be as he was before the European Championships but if he plays, he's more than simply a candidate."
